Here, you’ll join a supporting driven team, helping and guiding young Children of a mixed gender who unfortunately suffer from mental health difficulties. It’s emotionally and physically challenging yet highly rewarding work where the duties you carry out have life-changing results
This is a Complexed residential home of 3 beds which is currently full at this moment. The Home is a mixed gender home for children aged 8-18years these children have unfortunately been victims of trauma and abuse, we provide the support and guidance these children need to better their lives
The home is a beautiful bungalow which is set on nearly an acre of green garden, this creates a fresh calm atmosphere. The home is a short drive to wisbech town which you can fine local shops and facilities. This is a Complexed residential home of 4 beds which currently only has one child at present. This is a mixed gender home for children aged 11-18years these children have unfortunately been victims of trauma and abuse. The home provides the support and guidance each child requires
Salary & Benefits
The home provide shadow shifts working alongside an experienced member of staff, this helps Residential care workers build relationships within the home and find their strengths and weaknesses. We also have a six month probation plan. The manager also holds regular appraisals with staff to monitor their development and performance on their probation
The home also provides full funding for NVQ3 in Children and young people to progress within their career
The home employs a full clinical team overseen by a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Lead.

2 full weekend off and two split weekends additional sleeps are attached to your shifts
All shifts are shared out equally between the team

Types of skills required and duties to accept
These can be varied but they are all centred on the young people and it can include;
· Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning etc)
· Establishing positive relationships with young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regard
· Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioral, cultural and educational needs of young people
· Acting as a role model and demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems
· Helping young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behavior and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.
· Ensuring that each young person’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs
Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
